“I make abstract sculptures to connect with your inner spirit and trigger your subconscious mind to feel the form, the matter, the space and the energy […] I draw suggestive and intuitive lines to interact with your fantasy, your mind in the space, you are part of the space and you become part of the sculpture.” says Gauvrit about his art. He learned to use the perfection of 3D modelling to feed our spirits.
Javier Marin worked on two 80 cm model (31,5″), then sent them to us from Mexico. We used our 3D scanner to collect digital data, scaled them to 6 meters (20 feet) and then divided each sculpture in 8 parts. We were able to mill each part with our 7 axis antropomorphic robots out of pine wood. Once we milled all the parts we were ready to send them to Mexico.
Velasco brought a 80 cm (32″) hot-air baloon made out of metal. We scanned the model and reshaped the balloon digitally following Velasco’s instructions. Then we digitally resized it to almost 2 meters and milled two halfs out of pine wood.
